About

Having been a lifelong student of the War for Southern Independence (aka American Civil War), Larry McCluney’s interest in portraying General Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard was driven by his study of the War and encouragement by other fellow living historians. He is the same height and body style as General Beauregard and, therefore, presents a convincing, realistic image of the General. He has researched and read extensively about General Beauregard in order to deliver an accurate persona of the man. Larry McCluney received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Mississippi State University. He is a career educator having taught for twenty-two years at the Senior high school levels and eight years as an adjunct instructor on the community college level. He has been a Civil War Reenactor since 1995 serving in various roles as a private through the ranks of officer in an effort to present the as accurate as possible the life of the soldier during the war.
